My name is Tim Hollinger and I am currently a 2nd–3rd year engineering student at ENSAIT (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles). Passionate about textile innovation and bio-based materials, I am currently completing an exchange semester at ESEIAAT in Terrassa, Spain, where I am strengthening both my technical and language skills. My professional experience includes an R&D internship at CNRS focused on 3D printing of medical-grade silicone. My professional aspirations are oriented towards R&D in biomaterials and sustainable polymer chemistry, with a strong interest in interfaces between synthetic materials and biology applied to textiles. On the technical side, I have expertise in materials characterization in laboratory settings and data analysis (Excel/VBA/Python), supported by practical experience gained through academic projects, including research on thermoregulating smart textiles with hydrophobic properties, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of polyester garments, and innovation in sustainable textiles. I am fluent in French and English and have working knowledge of Spanish. I am currently seeking R&D internship opportunities within innovative European companies in the fields of green chemistry, sustainable polymers, or technical textiles, where I can contribute to projects with a positive environmental impact while further developing my scientific and technical expertise.
